The famed economist Kudlow, a Connecticut Republican himself, is talking taxes to faithful. He's an erudite fellow and he knows the facts - the American economy is strong and its no accident.

The Senator strode into the Sheraton telling jokes and laughing with photographers as they hurriedly clicked away on their cameras. He was laughing and having a good time.

So the stage is set, the press is assembled, and the people are arriving by the busload to the 2007 Prescott Bush Awards Dinner.

Mrs Jeri Thompson is joining us as a late addition tonight - she is delightful. The Chairman and I just said hello as they arrived. She was smiling and glad to be in such fantastic weather and great turnout. We certainly are going to break all previous attendance records tonight.

This is where most everything is done and we are just …. waiting. Its a nervous time for the staff. We will be patient. We are setting up the ballroom and it is starting to look terrific. People are abuzz with hard work already. The hotel staff of the Sheraton is fantastic and they are incredibly helpful.
