A good speech, but I am always a bit disappointed in SOTUs. Many good things are always said, but little gets followed up with real proposals.

Many points hit home with me and reminded why I vote republican year after year.

As usual some democrats are just plain rude. Obama's critical knitted eyebrow look was over acted at best and the great liberal lion next to him was just too delicious theater. At least Hillary conducted herself in a respectable manner. But what is with all the orange/red with the women? My wife is busy looking for her power orange/red, "I thought that color had passed!".

Watching the democrats use the race card amongst themselves has been great irony, live by it, die by it. Guess Bill really is not black after all.

GWB's legacy has yet to be written and I suspect his successor will influence it greatly.

Bittersweet moment watching the President give his last SOTU address. Good to hear that 20k US troops are coming home in victory, and that he'll be vetoing future pork barrel appropriations bills. Hopefully his defense of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will encourage Congressional Republicans to step up their support.
