We have found out that State Rep. Mary Mushinsky, D- Wallingford, is from another planet - or she wishes she was.

 Today’s Meriden-Record Journal disclose that Mushinsky, one of the most far left legislators on this planet, has a role model as she sorts through the various mysteries of the galaxy - Jean Luc Pickard of the more moden version of the famed television series “Star Trek - the Next Generation.”

 It seems Mushinsky has been holding forth with other Trekies at the lunch counter at the Captiol over the years, mulling over the meaning of Warp Factor 5 and whether new civilizations can exist without appointing a task force to study the problem.
