Stan Terry – A Good and Decent Man
Stan Terry, a former Republican First Selectman in Cromwell, and a true gentleman in every sense of the word, died Friday at age71. Stan leaves a large family, led by his incredible wife, Mertie, who has been there with him and for him throughout his great career of public service.
Stan served his country in uniform with U.S. Navy, Navy Reserves and for many years with the Connecticut State Police. He served on many local boards in Cromwell, doing the hard anonymous work which rarely gets praise or honors. He rose to serve his town with distinction as its chief elected official and never missed an opportunity to help his community or the Republican Party.
We at the Connecticut Republican Party extend our thoughts, prayers and admiration to Mertie and Stan’s family in their time of grief.
