The Supreme Court of the United States is set to rule today on a number of key cases.  Most prominently, the Washington D.C. gun ban case is expected to be adjudicated by the Supremes. 

Update 10:34am: The Supreme Court has ruled in the case of a Louisiana man convicted of child rape and condemned to death for his crime.  In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled that Patrick Kennedy cannot be executed for the rape of his 8 year old stepdaughter.
