Energy Debate Drives Campaign
With the American economy being stifled by high fuel costs, even the recent retreat in the price of gasoline hasn’t quieted the debate about our nation’s energy future. Even Paris Hilton, of all people, is now offering thoughts on energy policy.
This week, we’ve already featured content from 2nd Congressional District GOP candidate Sean Sullivan and 3rd District Republican Bo ItsHaky’s energy plan. Congressman Chris Shays (@shays) went to Washington D.C. yesterday to take part in the growing #dontgo movement that has given Republican activists across the nation an issue to energize around for the first time in months. We will have more tomorrow from our Republican candidates for the U.S. Congress.
Most importantly, if you aren’t following @CTGOP, you are missing out.
Americans are rightly concerned about the cost of energy - it literally drives the American economy. We need to have a common sense discussion about what needs to happen - especially when even the star of “One Night in Paris” is getting it right. As long as the current leadership in the U.S. Congress dodge the issue, nothing will ever change - and we need a change now more than ever.
